If you intend to establish 'diplomatic relations', please familiarise yourself with our Policy on State Recognition and Diplomatic Relations [adapted from 2014 August Declaration]: The Landashir'n Government does not engage in active diplomatic relations. We do not set up embassies or consulates - neither in our own territory or in the territory of other nations. We will not join 'micronational organisations' including union, military pacts, economic unions or 'UN'-style groups. We only sign treaties or agreements with nation-states which we are familiar with and with which we have maintained long, stable relationships. The Community of Landashir operates an open foreign policy. We recognise all nation-states with which we come into contact - unless the Agency of External Affairs specifies otherwise. |

Frequently Asked Questions
Q) Do you have a currency? Can I buy banknotes?
A) No, we do not have a currency. We used to - we had the Landashir'n Schelleng, which used to be pegged to EUR 1,20 exactly. We've stopped producing banknotes because we have no economy and no use for this money. If you visit Landashir or if you meet our delegation at a future summit, we may be able to give you some of our old banknotes for free! You only need to ask.
Q) Can I visit Landashir?
A) Please refer yourself to the Tourism page of this website. You can visit but it will be a difficult thing to organise. The border between Landashir and the UK is officially closed for international visitors unless we are expecting guests. The Government Representative usually gives tours and is currently living in Scotland, so all visits would need to be applied for well in advance. We would recommend that you contact us and we will let you know of the feasibility of your visit. We apologise if this is not adequate - Landashir is a small country and is completely residential.
Q) Can I become a Landashir'n citizen?
A) Please refer yourself to the Citizenship page of this website.
Q) I'm the President/Prime Minister/Foreign Affairs Minister et al of X. Can we establish diplomatic relations?
A) Short answer - no. We recognise all states we come into contact with, so shoot us a message and we'll hopefully get back to you. In the past we have signed treaties and agreements as a symbolic gesture with nation-states we have particularly strong ties with - however, this happens rarely.
Q) Can I become an Ambassador for the Community of Landashir in my country?
A) No. The Community of Landashir does not host embassies and consulates, nor do we have them in other countries. We are very happy to hear that you want to represent us, however, and we invite you to tell your friends, family and colleagues about us - cultural and political representation is very important to us and we think that political discussion about what it is that makes a nation is healthy in our ever-increasingly globalised societies.
